Scar camouflage in Calabasas.

Scar camouflage is performed at our Calabasas studio — same chair, same provider team that has performed paramedical tattooing in this building since 1998.

In short· Where is scar camouflage performed

At our Calabasas studio — 23622 Calabasas Road, Suite 123 — in the same chair, with the same provider team, that has performed paramedical tattooing in this building since 1998. Scar camouflage is Ruth Swissa's paramedical specialty; the Med Spa booking adds the clinical planning around it without moving the work. The Beverly Hills satellite — Wednesdays only, injectables only — does not offer scar camouflage.

The studio

The paramedical room, since 1998.

Ruth Swissa founded this studio in 1998, and the paramedical room is its center of gravity. Scar camouflage is her specialty — the technique the studio is known for nationally — and it is performed here, in the room built for it: lighting calibrated for color-matching, pigment mixed in-house against your skin rather than picked from a chart.

Patients often ask what they can see before committing. At consultation, an archive of consented, healed results is shown one-on-one — cases relevant to your scar type, at the settled stage rather than the freshly-done one. That archive stays off the public page deliberately; camouflage patients overwhelmingly want concealment, not publication.

The Med Spa wing shares the building, which is what makes combined plans practical — laser scar revision before pigment, biostimulator follow-ups after, all without changing buildings or teams.

Getting here

A short drive for most of the west Valley.

The studio is at 23622 Calabasas Road, Suite 123, a short distance off the 101 — open Tuesday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., by appointment. The estimates below are hedged on purpose; traffic in this corridor swings with the hour.

From Woodland HillsRoughly ten to fifteen minutes via the 101, traffic depending.
From Agoura HillsA short run east on the 101 — most patients plan roughly ten to fifteen minutes.
From Tarzana and the central ValleyRoughly fifteen to twenty-five minutes on the 101, depending on the hour.
On a session dayNo driver, no downtime to plan aroundSessions run forty-five to ninety minutes under topical anesthetic. There is no driver requirement and no extended recovery window — pinkness at the deposit site typically fades within 24 to 48 hours, and you drive yourself home.
Clinical detail

This page is the where. The hub is the how.

Everything clinical lives on the main scar camouflage page — the technique, what camouflage can and cannot do, the session cadence, and the honest framing that pigment blends a mature scar into surrounding skin rather than removes it. Candidacy has its own page, covering scar maturity and the cases we decline. Pricing is addressed on the scar camouflage cost page — the conversation happens at consultation while the published range is finalized — and settled cases are on the before-and-after page.

We keep this page deliberately local: the room, the drive, what a session day in Calabasas looks like. If you are still weighing the procedure, start with the hub and the candidacy page, then come back here to plan the visit.

FAQ

Questions we get.

Where exactly is the studio?

23622 Calabasas Road, Suite 123, Calabasas, CA 91302 — a short distance off the 101. Open Tuesday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., by appointment. Phone: (818) 735‑8818.

Can I see healed results before I book?

Yes, at consultation. A consented archive of healed cases is shown one-on-one, matched to your scar type where possible. The public before-and-after page carries a deliberately small set; the fuller archive is private.

Is the Ruth Swissa studio the same building?

Yes. The paramedical studio (ruthswissa.com) and Swissa Med Spa share the building and the provider team. Camouflage patients are sometimes seen for the tattooing on one booking and for medical-aesthetic follow-up on the other without changing chairs.

Do I need someone to drive me home?

No. Sessions run forty-five to ninety minutes under topical anesthetic; you drive yourself home and return to normal life the same day.
